Sustainable energy solutions firm NexGen Energia plans to invest Rs 1,000 crore in setting up an EV manufacturing unit in Jammu and Kashmir, creating around 1 lakh jobs. The company is in talks with authorities in the Union Territory to acquire a 100-acre plot of land, either in Kathua industrial area or the Kashmir Valley. The investment follows the company's recent announcement of a Rs 3,000 crore commitment for a Compressed Bio Gas (CBG) plant in Gujarat.
