2nd WW plane propeller discovered in peatland restoration on Isle of Arran, Scotland, outside known crash sites.

A propeller believed to be from a Second World War plane was discovered wrapped in potato sacks during peatland restoration work on the Isle of Arran, Scotland. The propeller is outside the mapped spread of debris from two known crash sites on Arran, which involved B17 Flying Fortress and B24 Liberator planes, both of which used the same type of propeller blades. The National Trust for Scotland, which cares for the land where the propeller was found, is working with an aviation expert and following legal procedures to further examine the propeller and identify its origin.
