Morocco has reported its first legal cannabis harvest, with 294 metric tons produced this year, following the country's approval for cultivation and export for medical and industrial purposes. The harvest was made by 32 cooperatives, consisting of 430 farmers in the northern Rif mountain areas. Although cannabis remains officially illegal for recreational use in Morocco, the practice is tolerated in practice.
