Former Australian leading trainer, Darren Weir, pleaded guilty to seven offences of using a jigger on racehorses ahead of the 2018 Melbourne Cup. He faces a Victorian Racing Tribunal hearing alongside former assistant trainer Jarrod McLean and stablehand Tyson Kermond, who were also filmed using the electric shock device on three horses. Weir denied allegations of attempting to corrupt the race's outcome.
