The unit would focus on swift removals to countries deemed safe and be backed by a new fast-track asylum casework system. Labour also aims to identify, shut down, and punish workplaces exploiting asylum seekers, and cooperate with police on arresting traffickers of unaccompanied asylum-seeking children.
