Indiana has banned sister city agreements with foreign adversaries, including China, following the enactment of Indiana state law HEA 1120. Rep. Jim Banks of the Select Committee on the Chinese Communist Party applauded the move, stating that sister city agreements are managed by the United Front, the CCP's overseas influence arm. The lawmakers believe this will help rid Communist Party influence from the state.
