Former Karnataka CM DV Sadananda Gowda denied BJP ticket for Bangalore North, replaced by Union Minister Shobha Karandlaje.

Former Karnataka Chief Minister and BJP MP DV Sadananda Gowda expressed displeasure over being denied the ticket to contest from Bangalore North again. Gowda, who initially announced retirement from electoral politics, later backtracked stating there was pressure on him to contest again. Gowda stated he will share his inner feelings about the matter soon and discuss it with his family. The BJP shifted Union Minister of State for Agriculture and Farmers Welfare Shobha Karandlaje to contest from Bangalore North.
