Flipkart's valuation drops $5B due to PhonePe demerger, from $40B to $35B (Jan 2022-Jan 2024).
Flipkart's valuation has declined by $5 billion or approximately Rs 41,000 crore from January 2022 to January 2024, dropping from $40 billion to $35 billion, according to equity transactions conducted by its US-based parent company Walmart. The primary reason behind this decline is the demerger of fintech firm PhonePe into a separate entity. Despite the decline, sources estimate Flipkart's current valuation to be between $38-40 billion.
