Delhi court orders Tihar Jail officials to take Aam Aadmi Party leader Sanjay Singh, arrested in an excise scam case, to Parliament on March 19 to allow him to take oath as a Rajya Sabha member. Special Judge MK Nagpal directs the jail superintendent to ensure adequate security during Singh's movement. The court states that during the visit, Singh will not be permitted to use a mobile phone or communicate with any other accused, suspect, or witness in the case, nor address the press or hold public meetings.
