China has established a "Boao Nearly Zero Carbon Demonstration Zone" in Hainan Province, which began operations on Monday. The project, jointly built by the Ministry of Housing and Urban-Rural Development and the Hainan provincial government, aims to demonstrate China's green and low-carbon development concepts, technologies, and practices to the world. The zone incorporates emission reduction technologies and innovative practices to achieve a balance between new energy power generation and consumption. The annual Boao Forum for Asia (BFA) conference will focus on global cooperation to address shared challenges and responsibilities.
