2% of Australia's financial services firms are reportedly prepared for mandated climate disclosures in 2025, according to research by global management consultancy Baringa. The findings come ahead of proposed amendments to the ASIC Act and Corporations Act, which will require large businesses and financial institutions to disclose their climate change considerations. Disclosures will need to align with financial reporting obligations under chapter 2M of the Corporations Act.
