2-year-old hit by rideshare driver dies, family members beat up driver in retaliation. A Houston toddler struck by a rideshare driver has died, with family members pulling the driver out and assaulting him. The driver also sustained non-life-threatening injuries. Harris County Sheriff Ed Gonzalez confirmed the girl was hit after the driver thought the path was clear and drove forward.
