31-year-old Christopher Hawkins was fatally shot outside a home in the 1700 block of Mentor Avenue, Dallas. Police arrived at the scene after a welfare check call and found him unresponsive with a gunshot wound. The Dallas Police's SWAT Unit executed a search warrant at the home, but found no one inside. The investigation is ongoing, and anyone with information is asked to contact Detective Phillip Wheeler.
