Police in Bhubaneswar destroyed 1.5 lakh poppy plants worth Rs 3.10 crore in Similipal Tiger Reserve, with raids in two villages, Jojoguda & Phulbadi. Two cases filed under NDPS Act. No arrests made, but investigations continue into origin, end users, and transportation of opium. This is the second operation within a month, with a total of 5.41 lakh poppy plants worth Rs 10.96 crore destroyed.
