A "disturbance" in Darlington led to a police cordon being set up on Lascelles estate near Fenby Avenue. Durham Constabulary confirmed that officers were called to an address on Aldbrough Walk after midnight on Sunday. No injuries were reported, but specialist officers and forensic examiners were called in to investigate the incident. The cordon encompassed a large section of the park and nearby properties.
