Brunei's enforcement agencies seized 550 cans of smuggled alcohol in a recent joint operation involving Marine Police, Royal Brunei Armed Forces, Royal Customs and Excise Department, and Narcotics Control Bureau. A suspicious boat carrying three individuals was detected, but escaped to a neighboring country after throwing several packages into the water. The discarded packages were recovered and contained the 550 cans of contraband.
