54-year-old Benjamin Preacher, a manufacturing supervisor at a luxury jewelry company in Rhode Island, has been charged with stealing and selling millions of dollars of gold, silver, and platinum over a three-year period. Preacher allegedly stole the precious metals from his workplace and sold them at businesses across Massachusetts, with sales totaling over $1 million to one dealer and more than $177,000 to another. If convicted, he faces up to 10 years in prison.
