36-year-old burglar Graham Gallon was jailed for stealing "priceless" silver items from the Royal Lancers & Nottinghamshire Yeomanry Museum by cutting a hole in the floor.

Burglar Graham Gallon, 36, was jailed for two-and-a-half years after cutting a hole in the floor of the Royal Lancers & Nottinghamshire Yeomanry Museum to steal "priceless" silver items. The brazen thief sawed a hole in the former military stables directly underneath the museum to gain access to a display cabinet. He used a litter picker tool to steal silver artifacts and left behind a silver chalice with his DNA on it when it was too big to fit through the hole.
