45% of University of Iowa's Carver College of Medicine graduates matched into primary care specialties, and one-third plan to stay in Iowa to address rural primary care shortages. On Match Day, 42 graduates will stay in Iowa for their first year of postgraduate medical training, with 33 training at UIHC.
