The Supreme Court of Canada has expanded the right to judicial review of tribunal decisions, which may benefit individuals challenging government agencies but could strain an overburdened legal system. The decision overrules strict provincial limits on tribunal appeals and sets a clearer standard for reviewing decisions from the Ontario Licence Appeal Tribunal. It also found the LAT's decision in Yatar v. TD Insurance Meloche Monnex to be unreasonable.
