St. Louis Cardinals manager Oliver Marmol has been given a two-year contract extension, keeping him in his role through the 2026 season. Marmol, who led the team to an NL Central title in his first season in 2022, has the support of the team despite a last-place finish in the NL Central this year. The Cardinals have made several key off-season acquisitions, including Sonny Gray, Lance Lynn, Kyle Gibson, Kenynan Middleton, Andrew Kittredge, Nick Robertson, and Brandon Crawford. Marmol, who joined the Cardinals organization in 2007, said he wants to do his job well and continue to lead the team for a long time.
