Sarnia City Hall protest to remove councillor cancelled due to special council meeting and impossibility under the Municipal Act.

A planned protest at Sarnia City Hall to remove a city councillor was cancelled by the organizer after a special council meeting was scheduled for the same day. Sarnia Mayor Mike Bradley stated that, under the Municipal Act, it is not possible to remove a councillor from office. The city is currently reviewing options following Coun. Bill Dennis' disruptive behavior during a council meeting on March 11.
