President Cyril Ramaphosa reappoints Lesetja Kganyago as Governor of South Africa's Reserve Bank (SARB) for a five-year term, effective November. Kganyago's reappointment ensures continuity and institutional stability at the central bank. Nomfundo Tshazibana and Dr Rashad Cassim are also reappointed as SARB deputy governors, while Dr Mampho Modise is appointed as a new deputy governor, replacing Kuben Naidoo. Modise currently serves as the deputy director-general of Public Finance in the National Treasury.
