Pakistan's Federal Board of Revenue (FBR) has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with 'Karandaaz Pakistan' to digitize the tax system in the country. This move aims to automate the FBR system, reduce taxpayers' costs, and widen the tax net. Karandaaz Pakistan, sponsored by the UK's Foreign, Commonwealth and Development office and the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation, will provide support in digitizing the tax system, leading to sustainable revenue growth.
