Oman aims to produce or consume 30% of its electricity from renewable sources by 2030, according to Minister of Energy and Minerals, Engineer Salem bin Nasser Al Aufi. To reach this goal, oil and gas sectors halt routine burning, while industries and cities explore eco-friendly energy alternatives. Announced projects include new wind energy stations and power stations like Manah 1 and Manah 2.
