Ministers urge teachers to report child sexual crimes, sign MoU to combat under-reporting.
Minister Azalina Othman Said and Education Minister Fadhlina Sidek urged teachers to report sexual crimes against children. The Prime Minister's Department (Law and Institutional Reforms) and the Education Ministry signed a memorandum of understanding to combat under-reporting of such crimes. Teachers and principals are asked to act as eyes and ears in schools to help find solutions to these crimes, with educators potentially facing prosecution if they do not report incidents.
