Malaysia's Naccol task force discovers a rice cartel involving 4-5 companies controlling 80% of the local rice market, leading to shortages and increased prices. Bukit Gantang MP Syed Abu Hussin Hafiz, Naccol's food prices and cost of living committee head, will present the issue at a meeting to prompt government action. Additionally, a proposed RM200 subsidy per tonne of rice sold to millers aims to sell local rice at RM30 per 10-kg bag.
