A special MP-MLA court in Lucknow ordered an FIR against former Samajwadi Party leader Swami Prasad Maurya for allegedly hurting Hindu sentiments with a statement against goddess Lakshmi. The complainant, Ragini Rastogi, claimed a statement by Maurya published on November 15 last year in newspapers hurt the sentiments of crores of Hindus. The court instructed Wazirganj Police Station to investigate.
