ExxonMobil discovers new oil reserves in Guyana's Stabroek block.
ExxonMobil has discovered new oil reserves off the coast of Guyana, marking their first major find for 2024. The Bluefin well, located in the Stabroek block, encountered approximately 197 feet of hydrocarbon-bearing sandstone. This discovery follows more than 30 made in the Stabroek block since 2015, which has positioned Guyana as a major energy player with proven reserves of 11 billion barrels.
