Dallas Cowboys release LB Leighton Vander Esch and WR Michael Gallup due to health issues and financial reasons.

The Dallas Cowboys have released linebacker Leighton Vander Esch and wide receiver Michael Gallup, both from the 2018 draft class, due to health issues and financial considerations. Vander Esch's release came with a failed physical designation, following four neck injuries since 2019, including surgery for a narrow spinal column. Gallup's release as a post-June 1 cut will save the Cowboys $9.5 million. Both players had been with the team for six seasons.
