Carolina Hurricanes sign goaltender Spencer Martin to a one-year, $775,000 contract extension. The 28-year-old has a 4-0-1 record, 1.97 GAA, and .922 save percentage since joining the team in January. General Manager Don Waddell praises Martin's performance as an "excellent addition." Martin, who has played in 56 NHL games, was claimed off waivers from the Columbus Blue Jackets.
