A 2-acre vegetation fire broke out near Lompoc, north of Santa Barbara County, on Rucker Road and Calle Lindero in Vandenberg Village. The Santa Barbara County Fire Department, Lompoc, and Vandenberg Space Force Base fire departments responded to the scene, with power lines down in the area. The forward progress of the fire was stopped, no injuries or homes were threatened, and the cause is under investigation.
