42-year-old Hicham Bahloul, a neighbour suffering from schizophrenia, has been sentenced to life in prison for the murder of 67-year-old British retiree Susan Higginbotham in south-west France. Bahloul confessed to strangling Higginbotham in her home in Esclottes after she asked to borrow adhesive tape multiple times. Higginbotham was described as a happy, friendly person who loved her life in France.
