93-year-old dementia patient Donald Burgess died after police officers PC Stephen Smith and Rachel Comotto tasered him in a care home in East Sussex. The officers are facing charges of assault occasioning actual bodily harm in Westminster Magistrates' Court on April 25. The Independent Office for Police Conduct (IOPC) found that evidence did not show the incident caused or contributed to Mr. Burgess's death.
