24-year-old Arosh Ali was charged with attempted murder in connection with a stabbing in Stepney, east London, on March 8 outside Stepney Shahjalal Mosque & Cultural Centre. The 19-year-old victim remains in critical condition, and police do not believe the attack was a hate crime. Extra officers are patrolling the area to reassure the public, and detectives are asking for further witnesses to come forward.
