Woman indicted for her role in house fire that killed 3 children in New Orleans East, 2023. Shanyka Phillips, the girlfriend of accused arsonist Joseph Washington, was indicted for Accessory after the Fact to 1st Degree Murder and Aggravated Arson. Authorities say Phillips was present during the fire, assisted Washington in fleeing the scene, and helped conceal his whereabouts.
