Wendy Williams' guardian, Sabrina Morrissey, unsuccessfully tried to block the release of a Lifetime docuseries about the former talk show host, claiming it portrayed her in a demeaning manner. The docuseries, titled "Where is Wendy Williams? ", was released in February following a legal battle. Morrissey alleged that Williams was not capable of giving consent to the terms of the documentary contract when she signed it, as she was facing health challenges, including progressive aphasia and frontotemporal dementia.
