Traditional Irish fry-up cost increased 3.1% to €38.79 in January 2024 due to higher ingredient costs.
The cost of a traditional Irish fry-up has risen by 3.1% in the past year, according to the Central Statistics Office (CSO). The price increase is due to higher costs for key ingredients like rashers, sausages, eggs, mushrooms and tomatoes. Including bread, butter, tea and milk, the total cost of a full family Irish breakfast rose to €38.79 in January 2024, up from €27.20 in January 2023.
