World Consumer Rights Day marks 30 years of the Consumer Guarantees Act (CGA) in NZ, providing guarantees for goods and services purchased. The CGA gives consumers the power to seek repair, replacement, or refund from businesses if products or services are unsafe, faulty, or not reasonably fit for purpose. Almost all New Zealanders know about the CGA, but fewer than half understand how to use it.
