Despite India's commitment to eliminate TB by 2025, it faces a large burden of the disease, with millions affected and nearly 400,000 deaths annually. SATB requested immediate action, focusing on expanding free and accurate TB diagnosis, especially in remote and marginalised communities, and called for investment in diagnostic facilities, mobile testing units, and access to rapid and molecular testing.
