Study links anterior neostriatum abnormalities in ADHD and dyslexia children to language problems.
New study finds abnormality in brain structure linked with movement may cause language problems in children with ADHD and dyslexia. Abnormalities occur specifically in the anterior neostriatum within the basal ganglia, which can aid in diagnosing and treating developmental language difficulties. The study, based on an analysis of 22 articles, was published in Nature Human Behaviour journal.
