Saskatchewan Teachers' Federation proposes binding arbitration for class size and complexity, but government refuses.

Saskatchewan Teachers' Federation (STF) president Samantha Becotte has expressed disappointment over the provincial government's unwillingness to agree to binding arbitration to address issues of class size and complexity. The STF proposes that if the government agrees to binding arbitration, they would immediately suspend job action and negotiations would proceed for the remaining items on the table for a new collective agreement. However, Education Minister Jeremy Cockrill has said the government won't agree to binding arbitration.
