Salvation Army Cape Fear begins construction on a new 20,500sqft emergency shelter called "Center of Hope" in Wilmington. The facility, opening in spring 2022, will house up to 75 people, including families, and offer kitchen & laundry services, food pantry, rent & utility assistance, and life skills programs. The project aims to address homelessness in New Hanover, Brunswick, Pender, Bladen, and Columbus counties.
