Pope Francis appoints Colombian Bishop Luis Manuel Alí Herrera as Secretary and US laywoman Teresa Morris Kettlekamp as Adjunct Secretary of the Pontifical Commission for the Protection of Minors. Both have prior experience in child protection and previously served on the commission. This marks the first time a bishop has been appointed Secretary and a woman as Adjunct Secretary.
