Oil magnate Akintoye Akindele, CEO of Duport Midstream, is ordered to remain in Kuje Correctional Center in Abuja until March 20, as the court considers his bail perfection for $5.6m fraud allegations. He was granted N750m ($1.6m) bail on March 1 with conditions, including two sureties who own property within the jurisdiction. The court declined an oral application to transfer the case from Abuja to Lagos; a formal application is required.
