India's Competition Commission orders a probe into Google over alleged unfair practices in Play Store.

India's antitrust body, the Competition Commission of India (CCI), has ordered a probe into Alphabet Inc's Google, amid ongoing disputes with local startups over its in-app billing system. The CCI accuses Google of exploiting its dominant position in the Indian online market by implementing unfair terms and discriminatory practices in its Play Store, allegedly violating several provisions of the country's antitrust law. The investigation will be conducted by the CCI's investigative arm within 60 days.
