Indian Railways achieves record freight loading, revenue, and track-laying in FY 2023-24.
Indian Railways is set to achieve record freight loading, revenue, and track-laying during the financial year 2023-24. As of March 15, originating freight loading has surpassed 1500 million tonnes, with total revenue reaching Rs 2.40 lakh crores. The rail network has laid 5,100 km of new tracks, averaging 14 km of daily track-laying.
