Pyramid Mountain Lumber, a family-owned business in Seeley Lake, Montana, will close its operation this spring after 75 years due to labor shortages, lack of housing, unprecedented rising costs, plummeting lumber prices, and high cost of living in Western Montana. The company, which has been the largest employer in Seeley Lake, will cut off log supplies on March 31, run its log inventory through the sawmill, and auction the mill equipment.
