The European Parliament has approved the EU's first-of-its-kind AI regulation act, including provisions for copyrighted music. The Act received 523 votes in favour, 46 against, and 49 abstentions, marking the world's first binding law on AI aimed at reducing risks, creating opportunities, combating discrimination, and bringing transparency. Unacceptable AI practices will be banned in Europe, and citizens' rights will be protected.
