CBI arrested CGST officials in Mumbai for demanding & accepting a bribe of Rs 1.5 lakh.
CBI arrested CGST officials Suhas C. Bhalerao (Assistant Commissioner) & Shubham Das Mohapatra (Inspector) in Mumbai for allegedly demanding & accepting a bribe of Rs 1.5 lakh. Complainant, a transport firm partner, received a show cause notice regarding service tax & bribe was demanded to settle the case. The arrested officials will be presented before a Special Court & further investigations are ongoing.
